What Causes Headaches After A Dose Of Mirtazapine?

Question: I regularly use 7.5 mg of mirtazapine as a sleep aid. I often get a headache the next day. Is there a way to avoid this? Also I get a lot of dry mouth. Anything I could do?
Brief Answer:
These are known side effects and we may only change teh drug!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Dry mouth and headache are known side effects of mirtazapine. Changing the drug is always the best solution and another sleep aid should be considered such as clonazepam or benadryl. Sipping water may aid with dry mouth but you would have to do so always to help keep the mouth moist.
Let me know what option you would adopt: Changing the medications or sipping water regularly.
I wish you well.
