What Causes Headaches, Lower Pelvic Pain And Nausea After Discontinuing Contraceptive Pills?
Question: I have been on birth control all my life except with my pregnancies, well two weeks ago i went to do my annual pap smear and doctor recommended i get off birth control pill due to my high chesterol and elevated liver enzymes, well i have been off the pill for two weeks now, for the past few days i have had a head ache, lower pelvic pain where ovaries are, a little nausea. Could this be related to coming off birth control, i did a urinalysis because i wanted to make sure it isnt a UTI but it was normal, what do you recommend? What should i do? What could this mean?
Brief Answer:
Post pill problems
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam, thanks for trusting health care magic
It is common to have wierd sensation after coming off the birth control so generally nothing much to worry
This feeling is most likely because of ovulation which is at times multiple immediately after stopping birth control
So just wait for a while and see if it gets relieved by itself
Take care
