What Causes Hematoma On The Ankle Of The Right Leg?
Question: I was diagnosed with a hematoma on my right back ankle. The swelling has subsided but there's a hard red bump. Last night I got a terrible cramp in the calf of that leg. Does the cramp signify a possible blood clot of that red bump. It was an injury that care ate during the swelling and hard red bump
Brief Answer:
Dopplers veins ultrasound should be done.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thank you for the query.
Calf cramps are not a blood clot sign for sure. Most likely you have Magnesium and Porassium deficiency. Please try to add this to your diet.
If its about veins thrombosis, injury can cause it. Presence of hematoma does not rule veins thrombosis out. And there might be no symptoms of it.
That is why It would be good to have veins Doppler ultrasound done. Please consult your doctor.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
