Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/58 - Hidradenitis suppurativa - keep breaking out between legs due to exercises and hot flashing - cardiac CRP was at 4.8 - vascular changes in the back of eye - wants to know whether these all are associated, what should be done - high anxiety - consulted a Doctor

Hidradenitis is a local skin condition and not related to cardiac crp or vascular changes at the back of eye. Local skin care, cleaning with plain water few times a day, avoiding tight underwear and clothing, Keeping the area well aerated helps a lot. Get evaluated by a Dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and knowing the proper management as per the stage elps keeping this under control.

The high cardiac crp is of importance if hs-CRP is specifically done and these values are only a part of the total evaluation process for cardiovascular diseases. Additional risk factors to be considered are elevated levels of cholesterol, LDL-C, triglycerides, and glucose. In addition, smoking, high blood pressure (hypertension), and diabetes also increase the risk level.
Hence, get all these done under the Specialist's guidance to get the real risk.
Also consider exercises under the expert so that you get the results but at the same time least possible sweating to have control over hidradenitis.

It is important to know what exact changes are seen at the back of eye, evaluate the cause and get treated accordingly.

I hope this answers your queries.

I am surprised that they diagnosed me with this skin condition..I have been working out quite a bit..but I am 58 years old and I have never had this breakout between my thighs ever before! Suddenly after a few breakouts I have a chronic condition? It seems like the inflammation from them could contribute to the high crp score because it was pretty inflamed.. Could I put something natural n my thighs to keep the inflammation down when I am using the exercise machines..I usually exercise for about 45 minutes every night..

The rest of the tests have been pretty good..calcium ct score 0.. TRi..78, hdl, 65 ldl 150 , glucose 89, blood pressure is good but sometimes climbs when I am stressed but it goes down quickly when I relax.. I saw another doc on my eye he was not concerned with my vessels..they still say it may appear to look like changes but my eye is so elongated..it might be that the vessels looks stretched out a bit..

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the feedback.
Inflammation form any condition can raise CRP.
Since your contributory factors are within range, worry is less about cardiac problems in future and you can repeat CRP to see the present levels.
Hidradenitis between thighs is very rare to occur.
Apply Liquid Povidone Iodine locally to keep the area sterile and see the difference.
Blood vessels behind the eyes: Ophthalmologist can tell you the best.
