What Causes High Creatine Level In Blood?
Question: Hi, I am regular Gym goer. So took protein supplement and 5 to 6 egg white a day. Last night on 02/08/17 I took halt bottle beer of 650 ml capacity and 180 ml whisky. Today as a regular test I performed Creatinine Test and Hemoglobin test. Creatine is mild high. Whether any kidney problem or any other prospect. My age is 33. As per low hemoglobin I am suffering from beta thalasimia Minor.
Brief Answer:
Reasonable to have raised creatinine
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The serum creatinine is marginally raised and is not of concerned levels. This adds to the increased amount of protein intake. You should not take more than 100gm of protein a day which actually depends on the weight.
The creatinine value could be due to low amount of water. The previous nights alcohol would have influenced as well.
It is right to repeat the test after two weeks without alcohol and good amount of water.
If still the s creatinine raises we need to do a GFR test to say about a kidney function.

Thank you Madam, as per advice of taking plenty of fluid. I have kept myself adequately hydrated last day. Supplemented with Protein only once a day after workout, instead of two servings/ day.
Toady I repeated the test of creatinine again with uric acid and GFR.
The test report of Creatinine and Uric acid is enclosed. Creatinine level decreased to normal level.
In view of the above whether it can be considered as a interim hike or any problem with functioning of Kidney. Any separate test to be performed may please be advised.

Brief Answer:
It's temporary hike
Detailed Answer:
hi,
I checked reports.
I do not see reason for worry. it is temporarily raised.
you don't have kidney function issue. check how much protein and what to take from dietitian.
you don't need further tests.

madam, I tested Serum Urea and Creatinine again. The report is enclosed herewith. I am not taking protein supplement from 2 days. But till it is not going down from border line. Also does exercise increases creatinine level.
Brief Answer:
Repeat after a month not immediately
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I think you are too quick to retest it. Although the retest values you uploaded are normal range, I suggest to retest after 15th September.
Exercise can increase creatinine but would not harm if coupled with good hydration (water intake)
