Dear Mr XXXXXXX
Glycosylated Hemoglobin is measurement of level of Red blood cell which is Glycosylated (Glucose bound ). The life span of Red blood cells is 3 months. So Glycosylated Hemoglobin or HbA1C denotes sugar control of previous 3 months. Whereas Fasting and Post prandial blood sugar indicates the sugar level of blood taken at that particular time. High HbA1C denotes not properly controlled sugar level in past 3 months in spite of spot sugar level being normal.

Dear Dr. What should I do for reducing it since I was keeping good diet. is it ok to follow the same medicine metformin?.
Brief Answer:
Consider addition of Glimiperide
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dear Bro
As the Diabetic state is not adequately controlled with Metformin and diet alone (I hope it is Non Insulin dependent Diabetes Mellitus ), one should consider addition of one more anti diabetic drug like Glimiperide (it is Sulfonylurea group of drug which causes release of Insulin ) in consultation with your treating Physician.
Wishing you a very happy and healthy life.
