Question: Hello. I recently had a haemorragic stroke and am taking Losartan. My reading right now is 186/92. What should I do?

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your actual blood pressure values are high and considering your recent medical history, I would say that you are at an increased risk for another hemorrhagic stroke.

I recommend taking nifedipine or captopril siblingually.

If you do not have any of these drugs, I would recommend going to the ER for a physical exam.

You may need to take intravenous drugs to help lower your blood pressure.

Taking another tablet of one of your actual antihypertensive drugs, would also help lower your blood pressure.
