What Causes High Blood Pressure When Diagnosed With Fatty Liver And Hepatomegaly?

Inpite of the increased doses of BP medicine BP is going 137/91
Some queries to get a clear picture
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Fatty liver and hepatomegaly has nothing to do with BP as such.
The reasons for it and also reduction and normalization of liver depends upon the causative factor and treating that factor itself.
There are few reasons for hepatomegaly with fatty liver for which you need to answer few my questions-
1. Do you consume alcohol? If yes how much and how frequently?
2. Do you have any fever now or in past few days?
3. List of medications you are taking on daily basis.
4. Any overuse of painkillers recently? If yes which one.
5. Reason for doing ultrasound of abdomen.
Kindly answer me above questions so i can give you a detailed answer and guide you properly.
Waiting for your reply.
Thank you

2. No fever in past few days
3. Medicine - janumet 50/500 ( twice a day), Glimadday-1 MG, Glimaday 2 MG, sartel c 80 ( once a day), starpres Xl 100 ( once a aday), Twincal 10( twice a day), Novastat TG ( once a day). Zintec 300.
4. Painkiller not overused
5. Ultrasound was done to over rule any kindney abnormalities ( on suggestion of cardiologists).
What is wrong with me? Why BP increasing? It is due to Mild eosnophilla ( 11% in CBC, also Himoglobin is 10.5. Or it is due to mild hepatomegaly?
I am tense, as I think thing that inpite of the higher dose of BP medicine it is fluctuating sometime 134/92 sometime 124/85.... I am also getting burning sensation on ear lobes. My sleep is also distrubed. Have checked will all experts... but no full solution
you have non alcoholic fatty liver ds. need few more answers
Detailed Answer:
From the answers you have given it seems that you have what is called as non alcoholic fatty liver ds.
You are already taking lot of meds for controlling diabetes and hypertension.
I have few questions more.
1. Is your diabetes difficult to control? What is you fasting blood sugar done recently?
2. Are you overweight? What is your height and weight?
3. Does your diet contains more fat and cold drinks?
I am asking you these because obesity and uncontrolled diabetes due to insulin resistance are main causes for fatty liver.
So answering above questions can give some insight of the problem.
Waiting for your answer.
Thanks

2. I have pot belly. My height is 5'11"" & weight is 74 kg.
3. Not much fat or cold drink in my diet (zero cold drink)
you need to control diabetes and hypertension
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for following up.
So from all the conversation we had I feel that your diabetes and hypertension is difficult to get under control from the amount of medicines you are taking.
Sometimes insulin resistant diabetes will need large amount of hypoglycemic drugs to control. I would like to advice you here to talk with your treating doctor about starting of insulin as it can reduce the requirement of many oral drugs to control diabetes.
For hypertension control, ask your doctor to change twincal as it contains clinidipine which sometimes is known to cause hepatic effect and fatty changes.
Non alcoholic fatty liver disease is mostly seen in patients with difficult controlled diabetes and hypertension. If you can get it well under control I feel fatty liver change should also resolve with it.
I hope i have answered your query well.
If you have any more query kindly write back to me will be happy to answer them. Thank you
