What Causes High Calcium Levels?

Question: My blood test came back with high level of calcium, 11.1. I'm doing another blood draw in two weeks. My doctor isn't concerned but I read on the parathyroid website that almost all cases are a parathyroid problem. What should I do?
Brief Answer:
Yes, get parathormone levels checked
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
The level of calcium is high by a narrow range. Need not worry this is not serious. Yes, it could be a secondary effect of high parathyroid hormone levels. I would consider testing for the same is good but I would also say to wait for two weeks and get the calcium levels rechecked, If found more only then for parathyroid hormone levels checked.
Please do ask if any doubts.
Regards,
Yes, get parathormone levels checked
