Brief Answer:
Fasting hyperglycemia due to Insulin resistance
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the reply. High fasting blood sugar may be due to a carbohydrate rich supper or due to Insulin resistance. In Insulin resistance, there is excess glucose output from Liver at night when you are fasting which is normally prevented by Insulin in body. In Insulin resistance, this action doesn't take place and there will be increased blood sugar value in the mornings. You may have to consider losing weight and start on exercise. These will improve insulin resistance. If these alone doesn't help and Fasting sugars are elevated, you may need to consider starting METFORMIN at night
