What Causes High Fasting Blood Sugar Levels?
Question: Sir,my blood sugar fasting is 181 and random is 190 without medication.What medication you prefer?

Your fasting sugars are really high and you have to be started on medications. At your age the ideal medication to start is Metformin. The dose being 500 to 3000 mg per day.
You can start with 500 mg Metformin once daily. If you can tolerate the medication well you can increase the dose to 500 mg twice daily and adjust dose till fasting sugars are below 130 mg/dl and after food is less than 180 mg/dl.
