Brief Answer:
protein on the blood?
Detailed Answer:
Good evening sir. Thank you for writing on healthcare magic.
Could you be more specific about the protein in blood or if you could attach a report along , so I can explain you better. Proteins are present in our blood, and the one we measure are albumin and globulin.
Your diagnosis of lupus looks confirmed with the atibodies positivity. And lupus can cause leakage of proteins in urine as well.
Do let me know my query and I will be happy to explain you further
Take care..

I have high levels of protein in my blood. Can that mean lukemenia or other cancers? I am being sent to a Hemotologist.
Brief Answer:
High protein
Detailed Answer:
Good evening mam. Well high level of proteins can be due to various causes. To get a specific diagnosis, we need to check the level of rise of albumin, globulin, ESR and CRP. It can be present in chronic inflammation like SLE especially when it is associated with Sjogren S syndrome.( another autoimmune condition)
But yes, one needs to rule out any form of malignancy like a Multiple Myeloma. The reason they have referred you to a hematologist is to rule out this condition. The specific form of protein rise can be detected by Serum Protein Electrophoresis, which delineates the type of protein which is elevated.
If you could attach your reports here, i would be able to tell you the close differentials.
I hope the information was useful
Do let me know for more queries..Dont worry, things would be go fine. Stay healthy
