What Causes High White Blood Cell Count With Chills And Seizure?

Question: Hi,
I have a friend who was just diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS). She was told it was not leukemia. I just read the description of MDS and it mentions low red and low white blood cell counts. My friend's symptoms include a very high white blood cell count with chills and then a seizure. Are we talking about MDS? I'm sorry I can't give you any more information because I'm getting what I have 2nd hand AND my friend lives in the Philippines.

Brief Answer:
You are correct
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
MDS (Myelodysplasia) means the cell lines, RBC, WBC, Platelets go down in numbers and you would not see high blood cells unless there is reactive leukocytosis. Seizure could be because of different reasons.
So we cannot pick the possibility if your friend has MDS or something else with this small information.
