A hot flush is a pure post menopausal symptom and accompanied anxiety is a common feature in ladies who have attained menopausal status and are not at present on any form of hormone replacement therapy.
As you have undergone a gastric bypass,please remain assured that these symptoms are completely unrelated to the surgery and solely menopausal. If these aymptoms are occasional and you have been tackling them naturally by as we also advise life style changes ,healthy diet,exercise and good hydration,then there is not much need to worry. But in case they are frequrnt then you may consult your physician to contemplate the need for HRT in terms low dose estrogen therapy for few months.
Most common problem which is dealt in post menopausal women is that of bone mineral losses which can be easily taken care of by regular calcium supplements or tablets to maintain the bone calcium and hydration is important.
