What Causes Hot Flashes While On PVC's?
Question: I am 71 years old and take Bystolic for PVC's and synthroid. I always felt much better in general when I took female hormones. I stopped taking them over 1 year ago and have not felt the same since. My PVC's are worse and I have hot flashes, etc. I am considering taking Estrace to see how I feel. It is so much cheaper than Prem-Pro.

The symptoms you are talking about are mostly due to the lack of female hormones in body that is natural senile change with advancing age. Yes, you can give a try to Estrace but prior consultation from your Physician is necessary for prescription script. It may help relieve many symptoms related to age changes.
PVC'S are altogether different and if they have gone worst, it's all due to the natural course of disease and underlying causes of PVC'S. You need to keep a Cardiologist consultation periodically for better management of heart issues.
Also ask your physician if there is any need for a dose adjustment of Synthroid based on the recent labs and Physical signs. Thyroid is also related to many of the symptoms you have.
