What Causes Inability To Fold Fingers After Pyogenic Granuloma Surgery?

I met with an accident a month back. My middle finger and ring finer got hurt. I had a fracture on the middle finger joint(middle). Also, nails came off . Last week, i noticed a pyogenic grannuloma on the nail bed and got it removed surgically. Also, i have a scar from the healing of injury on the top of middle finger from middle joint to front joint. The Dr who performed pyogeric granuloma surgery told me, its hyper-tropic scar. Now, I still have dress on the middle finger and today, when the dressing was removed to change the new one, i tried to fold the fingers. But i could not fold the first joint. before the surgery, i was able to fold it ( last thursday)
What should i do? Should I wait till the nail bed get healed fully or should i consult with the Dr immediately since, its just 4 days i have bandaged continuously.
By the way, the accident was, car ran over my finger tips.
thanks
Can be due to swelling.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The inability to fold the distal part of the finger after the surgery can be due to a local swelling. A scar tissue to joint stiffness is not seen within 4 days. It is best to wait and let the wound heal properly in next 4-5 days. After that get your dressing removed and try to bend the finger- both passively and actively. In case there is any difficulty in bending the finger on its own then do consult your doctor. A nerve or tendon injury needs to be ruled out.
I hope this answers your query.
