What Causes Increase In CSF Space And Meningeal Thickening?

Question: I have been diagnosed with slightly prominent extra axialcsf collections, particularly over the frontal lobes. Also the meninges appears slightly thickened uniformly. My ventricles are small with very slender lateral ventricles . There is also a prominence of the CSF cisterns surrounding my brain stem.

Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Csf space increase may occur secondary to atrophy of brain or hydrocephalus.
In cases with subdural hematoma, csf space increase and meningeal thickening may be seen.
Other important diagnosis for meningeal thickening are sarcoidosis or lymphoma.
You can upload your Mri images as jpeg or pdf files.
