Brief Answer:
Increase calorie intake with caution.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.

An increase in fasting blood glucose levels within few hours is called Somogyi effect.
Somogyi effect is due to rebound high blood sugar levels in response to low blood sugar.
Somogyi effect is common in diabetics.
The pp blood glucose of 210 mg/dl is slightly raised and the pp blood glucose level should be below 200 mg/dl.
The HBA1c level of 6.7 is fair control and better control should be attempted.
Weight gain can be achieved by increasing calorie intake.
However, care should be taken that increasing calories does not increase the central obesity.

Weight control especially control of central obesity helps to have better blood glucose control.
Central obesity is accumulation of fat around waist.
A good balanced and nutritious diet should be continued.
Add omega 3 fatty acid, plenty of fluids, fiber and proteins in your diet.
Avoid fatty foods and carbohydrates in diet especially at night.
A regular exercise like regular brisk walking will help to maintain ideal body weight.

If you have more queries, I will be glad to answer.

Brief Answer:
Rise in pp sugar is normal phenomenon.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
It is normal for the post prandial blood sugar to reach a spike after 2-2 and half hours of having food.
The irritable bowel disease (IBD) has to dealt in consultation with an gastroenterologist.
These symptoms are not related to diabetes.
IBD has a chronic course with waxing and waning.
The exact cause is not known.
Psychological factors are thought to cause IBD.
Thus, drugs coupled with life style modifications are required for control of symptoms.

Thanks and take care
