Brief Answer:
Your doctor has rightly advised for USG.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing to HCM

I have gone through your reports in detail.
Increased ALT indicates liver injury. It may be due to many reasons like hepatitis, dyslipidemia, autoimmune causes etc.

You need proper clinical examination and further evaluation.
Your doctor has rightly advised for Ultrasonography(USG).This is very important in screening of liver.
It is important to know about bilirubin level,GGT,history of alcohol intake, fever etc.
You also need few more investigations like routine hemogram,Lipid profile,Renal function test,Viral markers,Urine RE/ME.Further investigations can be done if needed.

You should avoid fatty food.
You should take tablet Ursodeoxycholic acid 300 mg twice daily for three months. It will help in regeneration of liver cells.
You should increase your physical activity in the form of exercise and walking.

You should completely avoid alcohol intake if you take it.
