Brief Answer:
X-ray skull lateral view for adenoids.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. The adenoid tissue behind the nose (nasopharynx) usually increases in size between the ages of 3 and & 7 years and blocks the nose leading to the above symptoms. This is very common.

2. Get an X-ray skull lateral view to rule out adenoid hypertrophy.

3. Most children tend to pick up viral infections from play school.

4. Upload the X-ray here. Medication is aimed at reducing nay enlarged adenoids, treating any allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, reducing any post nasal drip (mucus) and raising immunity to ward off viral infections.

If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
