What Causes Indentation On Shin Bone After Pushing It?
This is pitting edema....Need medical consultation if the legs are swollen!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this push that leaves indentations on the leg. If this is for true, then it is sign of pitting edema of the lower limbs. However, this would need to be confirmed by a doctor to make sure we are referring to the same finding. Edema of the lower limbs is commonly related to heart, kidney liver and poor nutritional problems. Others are caused by difficulties returning fluids and blood back to the heart from the lungs and would be most prominent after sitting for long.
For now, we should be sure about you have reported. I will suggest that you take a picture without pushing on the shim and one with pushing on the shin and upload to me for comparison. If the indentation is striking, I will make recommendations based on the findings. Please, tell me for how long this has been going on and report any other symptoms that you may have.
I look forward hearing from you at your earliest convenience so that together we can progress on this. Until then, I wish you well.
