What Causes Intermittent Chest Pain After Taking Azithromycin?
Question: I have a nasal infection and a doctor prescribed me azithromycin 1000 mg Monday and 500 mg Today and ive been having off and on chest pain. It goes from my chest to my back should i be worried or is it just a normal side effect. I dont really want to go to the hospital because i have an anxiety disorder so they never take anything I say serious and i know for a fact the pains aren't from a panic attack because i haven't had one in 2 days

Azithromycin can cause gastritis and that can cause a bot of chest pain, however you are having pain radiating from your chest to back which is definitely no normal and needs to be evaluated further.
Please meet your doctor, he may ask you to do an ECG and guide you further.
In the meantime i would like you to stop your antibiotic and take steam inhalation for the nasal infection.
I would also suggest that you meet your doctor as soon as possible and get yourself checked.
