Brief Answer:
Your description most closely resembles exertional dyspnea

Detailed Answer:
Good evening. My name is Dr. Saghafi and I would like to comment on your symptoms. Hopefully, this will give you additional information that you can discuss with your primary care physician.

You are marking 3 events of symptoms beginning in the chest and radiating into the arms accompanied by a light headed sensation which resolves upon being seated for 30 seconds. It's happened while drinking a XXXXXXX and while pushing a wheelbarrow.

In my opinion, I believe your symptoms are being initiated by some type of activity of a physical nature which is POSSIBLY causing a cardiac response of intermittent ischemia. I can't comment exactly on the XXXXXXX as a precipitant simply because you haven't provided enough information for me to tell whether or not it was truly related or just a red herring.

You've stated that upon sitting and resting the sensation goes away and therefore, it would seem reasonable to invoke a hypothesis of some type of ischemia which most likely is coming from the cardiac region based on localization. Of course, one might also throw in just to have another possible diagnosis, acid reflux and if we place that on our potential list of culprits then, perhaps the alcoholic drink becomes more easily explained as related.

At any rate, what I am suggesting that you MAY BE SUFFERING from some type of coronary artery or cardiac ischemia. You are 54 years old. I don't know what your physical condition is, your weight, cholesterol numbers, weight, BMI, smoking history, work history, family history of heart disease, etc. etc. etc. Therefore, if you know that you are in a high risk or at least elevated risk category for heart disease then, on the basis of these symptoms I would make an appointment sooner rather than later with either my PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR or with a cardiologist. If you get cleared by cardiology then, perhaps the idea of acid reflux could be explored.

If your symptoms start coming on in the same way that your describing but start doing so EVEN WHILE YOU ARE AT QUIET REST....then, I believe you should get to an ER right away as your condition could be accelerating and result in a heart attack or stroke if you don't have it looked at by professionals.

If this answer satisfactorily addresses your question then, I'd appreciate the favor of a HIGH STAR RATING with some written feedback on your part.

Also, CLOSING THE QUERY on your end (if there are no further comments) will be most helpful and appreciated so that this question can be transacted and archived expeditiously for further reference by colleagues as necessary.
