Posted on Mon, 30 Mar 2015
Question: i have an intermittent throbbing and mild pain in my uterus and also slight thrush type discharge which also has a bit of old blood in. I am due for a hysteroscopy to have some fibroids investigated but not sure whether to go back to my gp in the meantime. My last period was also early which it has never been before. thank you.

Brief Answer:
These symptoms are due to fibroid and anemia

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I understand your concerns about throbbing pain in uterus and white discharge.

This throbbing pain is likely to be due to fibroids in uterus for which you are about to be evaluated by hysteroscopy. Hence no need to see GP.

White discharge is possibility due to vaginal infection as you are anemic. Please continue ferrous fumerate you are taking and you don't need any other medicine if white discharge is minimal. No need to visit GP on this.

Let me know if you need any more clarifications.

Dr. Soumya
