What Causes Intermittent Tingling Feeling In Face?

Question: Lately, for short periods of time, usually 2 or 3 minutes, my lips, gums, face, tongue and even my fingers on my right side only, get very tingly and kind of numb...very similar to when you go to the dentist and the novacaine is wearing off. I have had several back surgeries... but all in the lumbar area. I am getting a bit concerned. Thanks for your help, XXXXXXX
Brief Answer:
Peripheral Neuropathy?
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.
I understand your concern.
This seems most probably related to the small nerve degeneration . It could be related to the after effects of your several back surgeries you underwent.
To prevent it from worsening, I strongly recommend inj methyl cobalamin 500 mcg once a day for 1 month followed by once a week for 12 months. Get blood Vit B12 levels checked before taking this supplement.
This should be taken along with tab pregabalin 75 mg once a day for 14 days.
These drugs will offer excellent cure.
Please note all the mentioned drugs are available on medical prescription.
Thank you.

thanks so much for the response! I did forget to mention that I think I have a small tear in the rotator cuff in my left shoulder my doctor said the x-ray said the ball joint itself was in fantastic shape but there was a little separation or a little more of a separation between that joint and I guess the the cup that holds them to join their the ball joint than there should have been. could this be causing the impending what you're talking about or going to opera thing? It started after I hurt the shoulder. thanks again, XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
Brief Answer:
Rotator cuff injury is not related to your current symptoms.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.
I am extremely sorry for the delayed response.
This tingling sensation might not have been related to the rotator cuff tear since the symptoms and your case are more generalized.
Also the rotator cuff pathology is minimal in your case.
This will not have any such consequences.
Thank you.
