What Causes Irritation In The Vaginal Area?

default
Posted on Sat, 19 Apr 2014
Question: Hi, I've been having an irritation on the vaginal area (both internal and external), it itches and burns, i searched and bought that Monistat 7 day cream treatment, but i am already at the 5th day and i still feel very uncomfortable, i still have the itches, and other consumers said that this symptom should be gone at the 3th day, otherwise I should see a doctor. I would like to know if it might be something more serious or should I wait until the end of the treatment. Thank you

Brief Answer: Precautions advised, visit doctor if not relieved Detailed Answer: Hello mam, most important in this scenario is local hygiene of your private parts which includes frequent change of undergarments to keep the area clean and dry and avoid tight clothing. Drink lots of water and use condom while having intercourse if you are sexually active. And also I would like to suggest you to get your blood sugar tested. But if itching persists or there is a rash then immediately visit your gynecologist for physical examination. Take care.
