Brief Answer:
Looks like fungal infection, provide pictures
Detailed Answer:
Hi
The most important cause of itching and pigmentation in the groin and buttocks is due to fungal infections in this area .
It would be helpful in confirmation of the diagnosis if you can click some close up pictures of the affected area and upload them here on this page .
Also please tell if you apply any oil or creams over the buttocks.
Are you diabetic?
I am sure I will be able to help you more once you provide me the pictures and the above details.

Hello Doctor, i had recently consulted with you regarding pigmentation on my buttocks and you had advised treatment for fungus. During the past 3 weeks, i have followed the treatment you had advised. I think the rashes are now gone, but the pigmentation is still there. please advise. thanks,
Brief Answer:
Take treatment for pigmentation
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Since the fungal infection has now healed ,you can start treatment for pigmentation.
Apply a kojic acid based cream over the affected areas twice a day .
Take oral vitamin c supplements along.
Skin pigmentation over this area takes some time to completely recover .
So follow the above treatment regularly for atleast a month .It might have to be continued even further depending upon the response .
