It is friction rub.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to Health Care Magic.
Thanks for writing.
I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.
Since when are you having this? I have seen the picture closely it seems to be a thigh friction rash which usually happens when thighs keep rubing during running walking or sports activity of such type.
Did you walk or run recently for a long time?
I would suggest you not to panic this will get better in a single day if you follow my suggestions.
1) Keep the area dry.
2) Avoid walking much and avoid friction.
3) Wear soft loose clothes.
4) Apply itch guard of any gel of the same sort they are available over the counter.
5) Use some good skin rash cream this is easily available over the counter at pharmacies ask the dealer to give you some good one.
6) protect the area from sweating.
7) Keep a good hygiene.
This will take not more than a couple of days to get better dont worry.
Have a great weekend
Regrads.

It is different from jock itch
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for wiritng back and your worthy input.
Jock it has a very bright red and distinct rash with prominent edges and swollen margins in your case this doesn't look like the case as far as look of the area is concerned.
Secondly if it is jock itch there is not much of a difference in treatment you can treat jock itch and friction rash at the same time, just an extra cream as to be applied.
Wash the rash with soap (preferably baby soap)and water. Spread an antifungal cream over the rash. Apply the cream beyond the edge of the rash.
Use an antifungal cream or powder that contains terbinafine, miconazole, or clotrimazole. You can buy these products without a prescription. Brand names include Lamisil, Lotrimin, Micatin, and Monistat. Follow the directions on the package, and don't stop using the medicine just because your symptoms go away. Use the medicine exactly as the label says. If symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks, call your doctor.
In my opinion it's not jock itch but even if you want to cover that possibility you can just use any of the above mentioned creams and everything will be all fine.
I wish you the best of health.Regards.
