Question : Hello: I have obstructive jaundice, and I'm scheduled for surgery on Monday. Is it common to have sensitive, itchy skin and a rash with this condition?
Brief Answer:
Yes
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
Well, itchiness always goes with jaundice and rash is less common but also can be seen so this is nothing unusual. Also, the cause of obstructive jaundice may be just biliary stone or pancreatitis but also, tumors so the exact diagnosis will be established after surgery. you can apply mild steroid cream on itchy skin till surgery.Wish you good health. Regards
