What Causes Itching On The Left Leg Post A Kidney Transplantation?

default
Posted on Wed, 17 May 2017
Question: I'm getting a pain/ itch on my left leg when I sit or stand at different times of the day. I am a kidney transplant and heart issues male older than 70. I take anti rejection medications and blood pressure and cholesterol medications. It always seems to be the left side and same spot above the ankle. I have tried skin lotions and cortisone ointments to no avail.

Brief Answer:
Muscle spasm most likely. Stretch exercises need to be done.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. It seems that you are getting a muscle spasm which is resulting in the pain.

Cortisone or skin ointments will not help. You need to visit a physical therapist. S/he will be able to demonstrate the exercises which would be of benefit to you. Stretch exercises are needed. Hot compress would also help.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
