What Causes Itching Sensation On Testicle Post Protected Sex?

Question: I'm a male, that had protected sex 12 weeks ago. Four days later I started to itch on my left testicle. I took lotrimin cream applied it to area. This was no help, and it got worst. It spread to tip of penis. The tip swelled and I noticed a purplish round spot at opening. I went to the doctors and was prescribed a 10 day dose of doxycycline. It seem to help after seven days of taking meds. Three and a half weeks later it started to flare up again, after I ejaculated. I went back to doctors, at my request he swab tested the inside of opening for herpes and chlanydia. also received a one dose of azithromycin. The one dose seem to help with the severity but did not knock it out. The swab test came back negative. I made appoint with urologist. The urologist determined that prostate was a little enlarge and prescribed cipro. It helped for a time, but a head had a reddish itching area around it on back side. The lotrimin spray help it go away. I though i was on the path to recovery, but after ejaculating one night it returned the following morning. Tip is swollen the purplish to brownish spot came back, and had dry pain in right testical. It take about four days for the swelling\pintching feeling to go down and when it does it feels like it is in side the tube like a splinter. the skin at tip is sensitive still and the color has faded.

Brief Answer:
Infection of the genital tract
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for getting back with details
There is infection of the genital tract and this is how you should go about it
1. I would want you to give a culture of your urine along with urine routine
2. I would also want you to give semen for analysis
3. Please continue Ciprofloxacin for a minimum of 14 days, if the problem still persists then it is most likely to be infection of the prostate, which will require treatment with intravenous antibiotics
4. Watch out for fever
Please get back to me if you have any further queries

Thank you for your response.
I worried this could be herpes without any sores. Could I be over thinking this?
Now that it has been 12 weeks, should I ask for a blood test for Herpes?

Brief Answer:
Not herpes
Detailed Answer:
Hello
The lesions are not typical of herpes. Herpes is usually extremely painful and it is causes small bumps which may later ulcerate to form scabs.
I dont think the lesions are herpes. It is bacterial in nature for which ciprofloxacin is the ideal antibiotic

I visited the urologists today and he said he could see nothing. I told him it felt like a pinching numb pain. Like I rub it against something. He is doing s herpes 2 test, and set up an appointment to look at my bladder. I think it like a bust blood vessel, that will not heal.
Any thoughts?

Bust blood vessel heals
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for getting back
A bust blood vessel almost always heals, it takes about 4 to 6 weeks for it to be better.
I don't think cystoscopy is required at the moment , if the urine sample is not suggestive of the an infection then the procedure is not required.
