What Causes Itching Throughout Body, Sore Throat And Peeling On Elbows?
Question: I'm a CNA student. 4-5 days after clinicals I stated feeling itchy all over. I also had a sore throat. 2 days after that I notice my elbows peeling. They are sore and hurt when rubbed against my blanket. Its been 11 days since and I am still sick. I also have a fever that come back and fourth. I was around people of all illnesses and I'm concerned that I might have contacted something.

I do not have any allergies. No diabetes, and no one at home is feeling like this. I'm not on any medication. Overall I'm a pretty healthy person. 27 years old a little over average weight for my height. this is my first time going through something like this. The skin on my elbows are dry and a bit flaky. It hurts when it's rubbed against my blanket. I get fevers throughout the day with chills. I was itchy throughout my entire body. this is not happening any more. just within the first 2 days.

Thank you for getting back with the answers. I have gone through them. There is possibility that it occurred in response to an allergic reaction. If i were your treating doctor then i would have advised following things:
- cetirizine one at night for 2 days
- apply vaseline/lotion on elbow to prevent friction.
- try to avoid dust
Hopefully it will further resolve in 2-3 days. If condition remains same or aggravates then you need to visit hospital and get an appointment for a "Consultant Dermatologist" for further workup.
