What Causes Itchy Limbs While On Alpha-lipoic Acid, Omega-3 And Vitamin-D Supplement?
Question: Hi, I have been suffering wih itchy hands and feet for the last 24 hours and I hav no sign of a rash, bumps, or any symptoms. I am concerned now because, the itching has not let up and I have not ate or done anything out of the ordinary. Currently, I am takin a daily mulit-vitamin with omega-3, and a vitamin D supplement, which I have been taking for years now. The only new supplement that I have been taking for two weeks now is alpha lipoic acid, but I have not had any side affects that I know of. Any suggestions?
Brief Answer:
it seems to be allergic.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, it seems that your symptoms are due to allergic reaction.
I would suggest that you should get yourself clinically examined and investigated by your doctor.
You should stop taking any new medicine/supplement.
I would advise that you should take an antihistamine like Fexofenadine 120 mg once a day for relief from your symptoms.
Further medical management can be planned according to the clinical evaluation done by your doctor.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Regards. Thanks.
