What Causes Itchy Pink Bumps On The Lower Legs?
Question: I suddenly have a bunch of small, itchy, slightly pink bumps on both my lower legs. It itches like crazy. I have tried putting on moisturizer (Cetaphil) for multiple days, but no improvement. I've also tried baby oil, but that didn't help either. Any ideas?
Brief Answer:
Friction folliculitis

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Did you try to shave the area? Or did you apply hair removal cream over the area recently? Are you sure you do not have such bumps any where else like arm pits /groin or neck or navel?
The itchy bumps look like folliculitis or inflammation of hair follicle.
You can apply over the counter antiseptic cream like Neosporin. You can take anti itch tablet like Azelastin / Benadryl syrup.
Before that please confirm the answer for the questions above.

Hello! Thank you for the quick response (and sorry for the delay on my end). When this initially happened, I had shaved, then experienced the bumps. So in my last shower, I purposely didn't shave, but still had bumps. After a shower it itches more and I have more bumps. So the shower seems to aggravate it, even when I don't shave. I do not have these bumps anywhere else on my body.

Hello again,
Thank you for clarifying and updating me with the details.
It appears to be infection of the hair follicles, and you are likely to benefit from applying the antibacterial cream like Neosporin twice a day for a week.
For itching you can take the medicines I suggested earlier.
Do not shave again for some days, let it heal.
If you do not get relief, then you must consult your local dermatologist for a proper clinical examination and follow his/her advice.
Wishing you good health,
Best regards
