What Causes Itchy Pus Filled Red Bumps On The Eyelids?
Question: Hello, I have been experiencing small red bumps on my eyelids and around the corners of my eyes for over a week now. They look like pimples, some, but not all have whiteheads. They itch, but only minimally. They seem to migrate overnight, in other words, they heal in one spot but a new one appears in a different spot. I have tried cleansing my eyelids with baby shampoo, I have tried taking an antihistimine every night for several nights, I have cleaned by makeup brushes, etc. I can't figure out what they are or what is causing them. I should also mention that I have rosacea, but not a severe case, and I am successfully treating it with Finacea cream. Thank you very much for your time.
Brief Answer:
Blepheritis
Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
This looks like blepharitis but I would have been happier to look at the photograph of the lesion, to be more certain.
Oral anti histamine is fine but it needs local steroid application.. I would have preferred steroid eye ointment like Neosporine H ,as being near to lid margin it can always get into the eye but if not easy to procure, then steroid skin ointment to be applied twice a day should give you results in 4 to 5 days.
Any further query in this regard, please do get back to me.
