Brief Answer:
Allergic rash
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
This is not an STD rash at all .It a localised inflammation involving labia minora looks more likely to be an allergic rash, probably secondary to the us of new soap over the local area. It is suggested that an antihistaminic may be taken to prevent itching. Also you may opt for applying ointment soframycin for local application. Avoid the same soap application locally and this shall heal in next 2-3 days.

Detailed Answer:
well,
As you said its probably a delayed manifestation of the allergen or type 4 hypersensitivity REACTION with delayed reaction. The rash is unlikely a herpes rash. As it is not associated with abnormal discharge and itch, candida infection may also not be a possibility. But it is suggested that a swab test culture be done to isolate the organism and distinct between allergic and infective cause.

why would the rash only affect the inside of my vagina lips and no where else on my skin?
Brief Answer:
answered
Detailed Answer:
the predisposition to the mucous surface especially in cases of chlamydia and even various bacterial infection is higher for mucousal layer , non leratinized surfaces as compared to the skin outside the vagina.
In either case a swab test is a must and mandatory. Once we know the organism , then it nature and pattern of spread can be comments upon as each organism have a separate predisposition.
