
What Causes Itchy Rash On Lower Legs And Arms?

Question: I HAVE A VERY ITCHY RASH ON LOWER LEGS AND LOWER ARMS, BUMPY AND RAISED. I RECENTLY HAVE TRAVELED TO XXXXXXX AND ENGLAND AND RETURNED HOME 2 DAYS BEOFRE RASH BROKE OUT. I HAVE TRIED TOPICAL CORTEZONE OITMENT AND TAKING ZYTEC AND BENEDRYL . NOT RESPONDING TO EITHER. COULD IT BE INTERNAL? SHOULD I GET A BLOOD TEST? USUALLY ANY ALLERGIC REACTION I HAVE RESPONDS TO THE ABOVE.

Add antifungal

I am certain this is not in allergy
I am more in the favour of another condition- fungal skin infection.
It definitely looks more like that.
I think in fact the cortizone cream alone may increase the lesions.
You may need to add an antifungal cream - like fluconazole.
This will help heal the lesions faster.
You may also do well to check a FBS and TSH
