My father was going through with medication of Duphalac Syrup, Udiliv Tablets, A 2 Z Tablets, Pantocid DSR, Pantocid 40, Sucral Suspension from 12th November.
Now, he is suffering from high itching on his body. We did a blood test yesterday. On that, we noticed that SGPT, SGOT and Alkaline Phosphate has been increased. Are these the side effects of Udiliv Tablets. One medical representative was telling so. Sir, pls tell us and make us relieved.

Brief Answer:
Your father sufferings are due to complications of cirrhosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Your father sufferings are due to complications of cirrhosis.
High itching is due to cholestatsis(it is a condition where bile cannot flow from the liver to the duodenum).

Your father is getting right treatment and he should continue it.This condition is treated symptomatically. There is no definitive treatment for cirrhosis.

Udiliv is very commonly prescribed for cirrhosis of liver. It helps in regeneration of liver cells. It may cause mild increase in SGPT,SGOT but main cause may be deteriorating liver condition.
He should avoid alcohol completely if he still take it.
