What Causes Itchy Skin Rashes After Taking Allegra?
Question: HI I am a 18 year old male. I have a cold/allergy at this time. I have been taking Allegra D 12 hour. This medication is not new to me but I noticed hives or welts on my arms. The area is very itchy. Could it be an allergic reaction to the Allegra D?

The medicine that you are taking which is allegra d is very less likely to cause urticaria.
There is however a possibility that you are developing urticarial reaction due to the cold itself since any kind of infection in the body can lead to urticaria.
Such an urticarial reaction tends to subside as soon as the primary disease tends to heal.
So I would advise you to continue with the intake of the medicine. You can use calamine lotion over the urticarial lesions for relief of symptoms.
I am sure the urticarial reaction will subside as soon as the cold tends to settle.
