What Causes Itchy Tiny Skin Colored Bumps On Chest?

Question: My daughter has tiny, skin colored or pink small bumps on her chest. They are itchy and spreading. She is away from home and has been trying to treat with OTC meds. She's used hydrocortisone cream and has taken Benadryl, but it's still spreading.
Brief Answer:
It is seborrheic dermatitis

Dear Ms,
They are likely to be due to Seborrheic Dermatitis(in common language Dandruff). It usually invokes the scalp, but occasionally involves chest.
I would suggest the following
1. Ketoconazole based shampoo application on scalp
2. Ketoconazole lotion application over chest twice a day
3. Antihistaminics like Hydroxyzine can be used for control of itching
Do keep me updated.

I've been researching Seborrheic Dermatitis and understand that it is a scaly, flaky rash. My daughter only has tiny bumps, no peeling, redness, or greasiness. I don't want her to purchase the medications that you recommended without being certain that this is what she has. In all of the articles I've read, corticosteroid cream was recommended which, I assume, is hydrocortisone cream. This treatment did not work.
Thank you for your help!

Brief Answer:
They are acne like lesion due to seborrheic derma
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Scaly lesion are typically seen in the scalp in full blown out cases. The dropping of seborrheic dermatitis from scalp on the chest may cause papules and itchy lesion the same as in case of Acne Vulgaris ( pimples as you see over the face).
Treatment with Ketoconazole definitely helps.
