What Causes Itchy Vagina And Sticky Brown Vaginal Discharge?
Most probably due to vaginal infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.
From your notes it appears that probably the yeast infection has caused inflammation of the vaginal mucosa. Itching the vaginal mucosa must have caused abrasion of mucosa which is usually thin in this age group resulting in brown discharge.
Brown discharge in this age group can sometimes be due to thin vaginal mucosa(atrophic vaginitis) polyp or ulcer in the cervix (neck of womb) or polyp in the endometrium (lining of uterus).
Therefore please fix an appointment with your Gynecologist for internal examination.
I hope this helps.
If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.
It issue to infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
Don't worry. As I already wrote to you in all probability it is due to the infection you had.
After the menopause, due to low estrogen levels in the body the vaginal mucosa is very thin and prone to easy bruising. So even mild itching is enough to cause bleeding.
For your reassurance you need to be examined by your Gynecologist.
If you have further queries, I will be happy to answer.
I don't think so.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
It started with this vaginal infection.
It is extremely unlikely that it is cancer. I don't think it is cancer.
If you have further queries , I will be happy to answer.
Get ultrasound of uterus and ovaries done
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
I am of the opinion that it probably is due to infection and it is not uterine cancer.
What blood tests were done?
Did you get an ultrasound done? You need to do an ultrasound with measurement of uterine lining thickness. Normally it should be less than 5 mm.
Also get a biopsy of lining of uterus. In all probability it will be normal and it will relieve you of unnecessary tension.
I hope this helps.
If you have further queries, I will be happy to answer.

Uterine cancer can cause intermittent Postmenopausal bleeding.

Hi
Uterine cancer can cause intermittent Postmenopausal bleeding. It need not be continuous.
But in your case I feel the bleeding probably was due to vaginal atrophy or infection.
