Question: Hi Doctor,

I am speaking about my mother who was diagnosed with TB Meningitis and TB Lymphadenitis in XXXXXXX 2014. She continued TB drugs for 12 months as prescribed.
Drugs taken:-
1) She has taken Ofloxacin for 7 months and Levofloxacin for 5 months
2) Rifamcin- She has taken for 11 months
3) Ethambutol and Izoniazid-4.5 months
4) Streptomycin-60 days

After she started levofloxacin she developed joint pain. Last one month she has been suffering from "Frozen Shoulder" on her left hand(TB of lymph nodes was diagnosed under this arm). She has consulted an Orthopedic Surgeon and Medicine Specialist who gave her some exercises. But still its not going. Can you please tell what we can do?

Thanks and Regards,

Brief Answer:
add physiotherapy like TENS, ultrasound and shoulder wheel.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have studied your case.

You may need to continue exercises and add physiotherapy like TENS, ultrasound and shoulder wheel.

If not relieved then you may need manipulation under anaesthesia or arthroscopic adhesion release of shoulder.

Also check your vit B12 and vit D3 in your blood.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care
Regards
Dr Vaibhav
