What Causes Kidney Infection After Taking Sinusitis?

default
Posted on Fri, 19 Feb 2016
Question: I have been taking augmenting for sinusitis. I get sinusitis frequently. Every time I take the augmenting I get what I perceived to be a kidney infection but nothing shows in the urinalysis. I had a abdominal scan to look at my kidneys, still nothing. The last so call kidney infection was so severe I had blood in my urine but nothing else. Could I be having an allergic reaction to the augmentin?

Brief Answer:
You have an intolereance to Augmentin, please let this known to Docs

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM: Please note that you have one of the rarer side effects or rather intolerances to Augmentin that causes abnormal bleeding, this can be in the urine or even in the stool/feces. Others develop bruising easily. In essence for you it causes kidney injury and this can become more pronounced with each exposure to Augmentin. I hope this helps. Just avoid it, there are other medications that can be used for your treatment. Good luck.
