What Causes Knee Pain After Meniscus Repair Surgery?

Question: I had meniscus repair surgery and now have incredible pain under my knee. Im at a loss. Litteraly I cant walk in so much pain. Any thoughts?
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Meniscal tears may remain troublesome even after surgery, since, they are difficult to manage.
You need to consult your treating orthopedician for clinical assessment of the knee joint.
Further management will depend on the result of the follow up investigations.

The Dr. Said i need knee replacement, however was hoping to put it off for a little while as im having so many other medical issues at this time. The pain is in my shin now, and that iswhy im confused. The Dr. Ordered an MRI however mu insurance company said i just had one so its under review. At this point ill pay myself because i cant rake the pain anymore. In the past i had a avascular necrosis and this feels just like that kind of pain. Could that be possible
Brief Answer:
Stay in touch with your orthopedician
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
It is evident from your history that there are other problems in your joint besides injury to the meniscus alone.
As you have mentioned that your orthopedician has ordered total knee replacement, you will have to consult your doctor regarding the time to perform the surgery.
Avascular necrosis of the bone is a painful condition.
The pain could be due to avascular necrosis of the bone, however, it has to be confirmed by imaging studies.
