Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query
I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. Most likely you are having frozen shoulder as it is common in your age and your presentation points towards frozen shoulder. Treatment of it is analgesic such as ibuprofen three times a day for pain relief. Omeprazole can be taken empty stomach to prevent acidity caused by analgesic. If pain is not relieved by ibuprofen then strong analgesic such as tramadol can be taken three times a day after consulting your doctor. Apart from this mobilisation exercises of shoulder are advised to increase range of motion of shoulder joint. Once range of motion is regained then pain will gradually be reduced. But its treatment is gradual and slow and may take months. Mobilisation excercises are main stay of treatment. To exclude other causes of pain you need investigation such as x ray and clinical examination by Orthopedician. You can discuss with your doctor about it.
Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.
Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
To exclude other causes x ray of shoulder and arm is advisable.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
Frozen shoulder pain is generally more in upper arm and there is restriction of shoulder movement specially overhead movement, pain is more in the night. Furthermore such a long standing pain also point towards frozen shoulder.
But other causes such as any bone lesion in upper arm can also can be cause of pain. But for that you need to get x ray of the shoulder and arm.
Everything else already discussed.
