What Causes Left-sided Abdominal Pain After A Meal?

Question: My husband is having pain in the left side of his stomach with pain he won't let me take him to doctor he has put a soltens electric pain device to lower side and back . pain started about 1 or 2 hours after dinner has had lower back pain last week

Hi and thank you for asking on HCM!

You are reporting that your husband has left abdominal pain 1-2 hour after dinner.
These symptoms may be related with :
- gastric issues like stomach ulcer
- pancreatic issues.
To my opinion your husband should be examined with :
- abdominal ultrasound
- upper endoscopy
Meantime I suggest to use :
- PPi's like prilosec OTC
- anti-spastic drugs like butiscopolamine
