What Causes Left-sided Chest Tightness While On Aderall?

Your symptoms don't seem to be cardiac related.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!
I carefully passed through your question and would explain that your symptoms don't seem to be related to any cardiac disorders (including heart failure). They are not characteristic or any cardiac disorders.
So relax!
Anxiety seems to play an important role in this clinical situation. A stressful situation can trigger your symptomatology, especially while taking Aderall and daily coffee.
Nevertheless, I would recommend consulting with your GP for a routine check up, to exclude other possible causes (like musculo-skeletal pain, inflammation, lung disorders, etc.):
- a resting ECG
- a chest X ray study
- some blood lab tests (complete blood count, blood electrolytes, PCR, sedimentation rate).
If all these tests result normal, I would recommend try taking alprazolam (Xanax) 0.25mg. If your symptoms are relieved by alprazolam, it would be a strong argument in favor of anxiety as the possible cause of your symptomatology.

Truthfully, I had a stressful situation on Monday that was resolved yesterday. Since then, I have not been stressed or had any reason to be. If in fact it was stress or aniexty that trigggered this, would it make since for the sensation to continue?
I trust all of this is nothing serious but because heart issues run in my family, I simply want to be proactive while I am young to prevent something minor now from progressing into something major down the road. My dad was 60 when he was diagnosed with AFib so I know it can happen at random times in life. I am good shape, eat healthy, do not excessively drink, but do chewing tobacco daily. This feeling is just honestly just annoying and wont seem to go away.
Thank you for the help. You made me feel much better about everything. Have a good week, Dr. Sharka.

Hello again!
Anxiety could cause similar symptoms, although I agree with you that your symptomatology is a little prolonged to be just pure anxiety.
Nevertheless, I would exclude any cardiac disorders related to your symptoms.
Inflammation could be the cause of this symptomatology.
I would encourage you to consult with your family doctor for a careful physical exam and the above mentioned tests.
Hope to have been helpful!
Wishing all the best,
Dr. Iliri
