Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have problem of anejaculation (Not ejaculating semen )
I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Do you get orgasm while masturbating ?
2) Since how long you have been taking Paxil?
3) Do you ejaculate while having sex with your female partner?
Paxil is drug that belongs to SSRI and generally prescribed for psychiatric disorders like depression ,anxiety etc and they are known to have side effect of Erectile Dysfunction ,loss of libido and ejaculation problems.
You can discontinue Paxil for few weeks and observe whether you ejaculate semen or not .
Discuss your problem with your primary physician and consult qualified Psychiatrist
to modify the drugs.

Thank you for your quick reply. I was told by my primary doctor that I have been on Paxil for 10 years. As for your advise, I did stop taking Paxil for at least 3 weeks now but I noticed no difference. Is it because Paxil is still in my system?
As for your second question, When I masturbate I believe I do get a orgasm because I feel a relaxed and pleasurable, a good feeling of relief. Again, in the end there only little drops of semen. As for ejaculation after having sex with a female. I have not had sex with a female for some time now. So, I can't really give a result for that. I hope you can give me a answer or solution to my problem because this is frustrating.
Thank you.

Hello
Thanks for feedback .
Since you are getting satisfaction of orgasm your problem is likely to be what s called as Retrograde ejaculation
In retrograde ejaculation semen enters in to bladder instead of moving forward in to urethra is due to side effect of these drugs .
This can be confirmed by doing microscopic examination of urine immediately (Within few minutes )after masturbation .The presence of sperm in urine will indicate and confirm retrograde ejaculation .
If this turns out to be negative you may need to get further tests like MRI of pelvis done to rule out obstruction of Ejaculatory duct .
Thanks and Regards.
Dr.Patil.
Suppose I decide to stop taking paxil completely. Its been 3 weeks now that i've been off of it. Thinking Paxil is still in my system. When it is gone completely, do you think it would make a difference? Doesn't it take months before Paxil is gone from my system?
Microscopic exam the only way of finding out? I wonder why my urologist didn't suggest that 2 months ago.
Thanks
You can discontinue Paxil and observe for any change .
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up.
Absence of ejaculation (Anejaculation) has to be confirmed first by ruling out retrograde ejaculation and this is the only test to confirm the same .
You can discontinue taking Paxil and observe for any change after few months .
Thanks and Regards.
