Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

What she is experiencing is called mood disorders which is a common finding in women her age (around menopause age). However other causes are to be excluded especially low thyroid function (hypothyrosis).

If she was my patient I would recommend to do:
- Blood work including thyroid hormone levels
- ECG
- Chest x ray
- Abdominal ultrasound

If everything is ok then her symptoms are related to mood change from menopause.

Hope this will be of help!
