Can General Anaesthesia Causes Mood Swings And Depression?

My daughter had surgey 4 days ago, 24 hours after surgey she had extreme mood swings and broke everything in her room, seems depressed, angy and mad at parents, this is not her normal behavior. Could this be a result of general anesthesia? What should I do?

Hello,

This is quite common behavior of most of the people after surgery and particularly general anesthesia, just keep calm and be more patient towards her. It'll take some time and she'll be totally fine.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
